Non-US citizens are responsible for obtaining visas. Bring your Passport Card and/or Sentri Card if you have them to expedite crossing.
Trip duration: One day, 9am-9pm
Arrive by 8:30am to depart by 9am. Please plan to travel with the group, there are no refunds for missed departures.
Upon return, we expect to reach the border at 7pm and cross by 9pm. The border can have long waits for US citizens crossing back into the US. Please plan accordingly.
Bring quarters and other small change for access to Mexican restrooms.
Venues
Venues are subject to change. When a change is necessary, we will choose a venue of similar or better caliber.
Terrain and Environmental Conditions
Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe have a similar terrain and climate as San Diego, CA. Expect sand, gravel and dirt roads; intense sun, and a light wind with chilly weather in the morning and evening. Many venues require a 5 minute hike up a rocky hill—expect moderate exertion over uneven and inclined terrain.

Pavement conditions, hiking trails, archeological sites, and cobblestone streets may lack standard handrails, guardrails, or lighting found in your home country. You assume all inherent risks of slips, trips, falls, or physical exertion during these activities. It is your responsibility to assess your physical fitness, wear appropriate closed-toe footwear with traction, and exercise personal caution at all times. We assume no liability for personal injury, property damage, or medical expenses resulting from terrain conditions.
Food and Water Conditions
Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe cater to the US market and work to ensure water is filtered and food is stored safely and staff practice proper hygiene. The food and water is generally safe to consume. We do not recommend eating food from local villages or street taco stands as access to clean water, ice and electricity are limited.

By participating in our experiences, you acknowledge that food hygiene standards, preparation methods, and sanitary regulations in Mexico may differ significantly from those in your home country. While local authorities such as COFEPRIS oversee formal establishments, street food and traditional markets operate with distinct practices. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with foodborn illnesses, allergic reactions, or gastric distress arising from food and beverages consumed during your trip. We strongly recommend exercising caution, consuming only fully cooked or peeled foods, drinking bottled or purified water, and maintaining proper hand hygiene to minimize risks. We assume no liability for any illness or medical expenses incurred.
Personal Property and Equipment Disclaimer
You assume sole responsibility for the security, damage, or loss of all personal property and photographic equipment throughout the tour, and we accept no liability for any items left unattended, damaged, or stolen.
Registration and Price Guarantee
Registration is on a first come, first served basis with limited enrollment. Discount codes and special rates may be available from time to time. However, your price for the trip you’ve selected will be locked and guaranteed when we receive your deposit. Confirm your attendance by completing the sign up form and paying your all fees in full.
Deadlines: Last day to receive a full refund is 7 days prior to the retreat.
A full refund is available up to 7 days before retreat. Thereafter payment is nonrefundable. If you would like to attend, but have passed the registration end date, please complete this form and the trip coordinators will reach out to you.
