Terrain and Environmental Conditions
Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe have a similar terrain and climate as San Diego, CA. Expect sand, gravel and dirt roads; intense sun, and a light wind with chilly weather in the morning and evening. Some of venues require a 5 minute hike up a rocky hill—expect moderate exertion over uneven and inclined terrain.
Terrain and Physical Activity Risk Disclaimer
By participating in our itineraries, you acknowledge that Mexico’s natural and urban environments often feature rocky, uneven, unpaved, and steeply inclined terrain. Pavement conditions, hiking trails, archeological sites, and cobblestone streets may lack standard handrails, guardrails, or lighting found in your home country. Participant assumes all inherent risks of slips, trips, falls, or physical exertion during these activities. It is Participant’s responsibility to assess your physical fitness, wear appropriate closed-toe footwear with traction, and exercise personal caution at all times. Mutiny assumes no liability for personal injury, property damage, or medical expenses resulting from terrain conditions.
Food & Water Conditions
Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe cater to the US market and work to ensure water is filtered and food is stored safely and staff practice proper hygiene. The food and water is generally safe to consume. Mutiny does not recommend eating food from local villages or street taco stands as access to clean water, ice and electricity are limited.
Food Hygiene & Culinary Risk Disclaimer
By participating in our experiences, Participant acknowledge that food hygiene standards, preparation methods, and sanitary regulations in Mexico may differ significantly from those in your home country. While local authorities such as COFEPRIS oversee formal establishments, street food and traditional markets operate with distinct practices. Participant voluntarily assume all risks associated with foodborn illnesses, allergic reactions, or gastric distress arising from food and beverages consumed during your trip. We strongly recommend exercising caution, consuming only fully cooked or peeled foods, drinking bottled or purified water, and maintaining proper hand hygiene to minimize risks. Mutiny assumes no liability for any illness or medical expenses incurred.
Personal Property and Equipment Disclaimer
Participant assumes sole responsibility for the security, damage, or loss of all personal property and photographic equipment throughout the tour, and Mutiny accepts no liability for any items left unattended, damaged, or stolen.
Vendor Selection, Modifications & Replacement Protocols
a. Mutiny advertised menu and ground transportation are provided as a package rate. Menu items may be modified to accommodate Participant allergy or dietary needs up to 7 days prior to the event. Ground transportation accommodations must be communicated 30 days prior to the event. Thereafter no modifications can be made.
b. Vendor Notice Requirement: Venues and vendors are subject to change. When a change is necessary, Mutiny will choose a replacement of similar quality and cost. Third-party vendors must provide Mutiny with at least eleven (11) days’ advance notice if they are unable to perform services. Mutiny shall notify Participant immediately if no replacement vendor can be found and event must be cancelled.
b. Default Remedies & Replacement Selection: If a vendor cancels with less than 11 days’ notice or fails to appear, Mutiny shall endeavor to select and engage a replacement vendor offering services of equal quality and cost. There may be additional new costs for arranging replacement vendor(s). Selection and assignment of the replacement vendor is at Mutiny’s sole discretion and is not subject to Participant approval.
c. Participant Rights & Independent Arrangements: If Participant declines Mutiny’s designated replacement vendor and elects to arrange independent replacement services or ground transportation, Participant shall be solely responsible for all costs.
Registration and Price Guarantee
Registration is on a first come, first served basis with limited enrollment. Discount codes and special rates may be available from time to time. However, your price for the trip you’ve selected will be locked and guaranteed when we receive Participant deposit. Confirm attendance by completing the registration form and paying your fees in full.
Because the event is structured as a fixed lump-sum package, Participant remains fully responsible for the total package price regardless of actual Participant attendance. Allocating or reselling individual seats is solely Participant’s responsibility.

c. Border Crossing & Immigration Delays: Mutiny assumes zero liability, legal responsibility, or financial obligation for delays, detentions, or itinerary adjustments resulting from international border crossings, Customs and Border Protection inspections, border port of entry traffic, or official immigration processing. Border delays shall not entitle any Participant to refunds, price reductions, or extensions of event operating hours beyond 9:00 p.m.
ALCOHOL & ATTENDEE CONDUCT POLICY
The event includes wine tasting activities. All Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with alcohol consumption. Mutiny and its third-party venue partners reserve the strict right to refuse alcohol service or deny transportation to any Participants who exhibits unsafe, intoxicated, or disruptive behavior, without refund or liability.
PHOTO, VIDEO & PROMOTIONAL MEDIA RIGHTS
a. Mutual Promotional Media License: Participant and Mutiny mutually agree that both Parties, as well as their authorized representatives, shall have the non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right to capture, create, and use photographs, video recordings, digital media, and event footage captured during the event, for promotional, marketing, advertising, social media, and commercial website purposes without additional compensation or prior consent.
b. Participant Waiver Integration: Participant shall inform their guests (event attendees) of these media capture terms and ensure that every attendee completes Mutiny’s Individual Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Conduct Agreement prior to departure, including selection of any individual media opt-out preferences.
STAFF SUBSTITUTION RIGHT
Mutiny reserves the right to substitute staff with another qualified, designated Mutiny staff representative to co-host or staff the retreat in the event of personal illness, emergency, or unavoidable conflict.
FORCE MAJEURE
Neither Party shall be held liable or responsible for failure or delay in fulfilling obligations hereunder if such failure arises from causes beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, extreme weather events, severe road closures, natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, or governmental orders. In such event, Mutiny shall make reasonable, good-faith efforts to reschedule the retreat or issue refunds net of non-recoverable expenses.
